The utility bit by the back door was so useful for us and the dog. We’re also already missing the amazing views from the bedroom, and having our morning coffee on the bench outside (even though it was 6 degrees haha) We loved the surrounding walks, didnt quite manage to make it up the Old Man due to weather but loved the walking none the less. We enjoyed many pints in the Sun, Crown and the Black Bull. We wanted to give a big shout out to the Coniston FoodHouse the sandwiches were 10/10 and the lady was very nice.Posted on Google Ross AsquithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Enjoyed a week staying in Miner's Cottage. Communication with the owners was straight-forward, and the cottage itself is well equipped and maintained. The view from the cottage is simply amazing - its vantage point above Coniston town and lake is very special. Thoughtfully laid out, the utility/boot room at the rear was brilliant when returning from a hike in the hills.Posted on Google Olivia McQuillanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Love love love miners cottage! Wonderful hosts and the cottage is well set out with everything you need for a fabulous stay in the lakes. A home away from home! Will happily stay again.Posted on Google Future BrightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have visited Miner's cottage every year since 2014 and don't intend to stop. The journey to Coniston is very easy and the cottage has the best possible view over the lake. Coniston is a landscape artists fantasy as the beautiful scenery keeps changing. As the light and mist cross the valley it's like a different holiday each day. If you've never been to the lakes go as soon as you have the chance. Coniston lake is like its only little world and Miner's cottage will give you the best view of it (see 7am from the top window). Part way up the mountain with all modern comforts.Posted on Google Paul SowterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The cottage is very comfortable, spacious, quiet, well equipped and immaculately clean. The location is superb - it's fairly high up looking out over towards Consiton Water. You can enjoy the views from the cottage or sit out on the patio area in front of the cottage - very lovely. There's great walking from the doorstep - we did the Old Man of Coniston and also a walk out to Little Langdale/Cathedral Quarry which was a super walk. It's a short walk down into Coniston itself where there are pubs, cafes shops etc. There are several pubs to choose from all within walking distance and all very friendly serving great food and drink. There's a dedicated parking space and the location is such that you can explore further out by car very easily. We had a great stay and have already booked to go back next year 😁Posted on Google Jon EcclestonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Any of the cottages along the bank are fantastic.. Not for the faint hearted a little walk up to. But well worth it for the views and it's the lakes not known for being flat !!!😂🇫🇴👍👍Posted on Google Roberta BoultonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely love this cottage, we’ve stayed in a couple of the other cottages in the same row when Miners cottage has been booked up but they’re not a patch on it, Mandy and Steve have decorated within keeping of this beautiful old cottage. The pubs and restaurants are literally a 3 minute walk away. We’re back up on the 21st September, can’t wait and you may be lucky enough to see the sheep herded from the mountains through the village, that’s a sight for sore eyes.Posted on Google Laura Alice CookTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My friend and I stayed at miners cottage in January after winning a free weekend. It was a beautiful and clean cottage in easy walking distance to the town centre (albeit up a hill!)
